Modi College delivers stellar performance in Theatrical Showcases at Zonal Youth Festival 2024

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala won the overall Trophy of Theater items competition In Zonal Youth Festival held by Punjabi University, Patiala. The teams of the college performed remarkably well in the different cultural and artistic activities and brought laurels to the college.
College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal congratulated the winners of these competitions on reaching the college campus. He appreciated the hard work of the team-in-charges and their participants. The Dean and In charge of Cultural Activities Prof. Neena Sareen said that among these competitions, Modi College won the first place in Drama and Mime, second place in Skit, Poetry recitation and mimicry. Beside these in General Quiz, Rangoli, Collage composition and Indian group song items. got the third position
Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal and Dean, Cultural Activities Prof. Neena Sareen congratulated the teachers in charge of the winning teams of these competitions, especially the director of plays, skits, mime and mimicry items Prof. Kapil Sharma, Prof. Gurvinder Singh Alif and his student artists and wished them best wishes for participating in the upcoming Punjabi University Youth Competition.
The In-charge of theater items Dr. Rajeev Sharma and Dr. Davinder Singh said that Modi College’s play ‘Thank you Mr. Glad’, skit ‘Dakiya Dak Laya’ and Mime left the audience spell bound.
Assistant Dean Prof. Harmohan Sharma said that the students winning first and second positions will now participate in the final competition to be held at Punjabi University Patiala campus in the month of November.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ, ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜ਼ੋਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਯੁਵਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ – ਵੱਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਅੰਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਜਿੱਤੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਪੁੱਜਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਟੀਮ-ਇੰਚਾਰਜਾਂ ਤੇ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਭਰਵੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡੀਨ, ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ .ਨੀਨਾ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਨਾਟਕ ਤੇ ਮਾਈਮ ਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ, ਸਕਿੱਟ ਤੇ ਕਾਵਿ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਚੋਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਮਿਕਰੀ, ਜਰਨਲ ਕੁਇੱਜ਼,ਰੰਗੋਲੀ,ਕੋਲਾਜ ਰਚਨਾ ਤੇ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਸੌਂਗ ਆਈਟਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ, ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ . ਨੀਨਾ ਸਰੀਨ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੇਤੂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਟੀਚਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਆਈਟਮਾਂ ਸਦਕਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਥੀਏਟਰ ਆਈਟਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਲਈ ਨਾਟਕ,ਸਕਿੱਟ, ਮਾਈਮ ਤੇ ਮਿਮਿਕਰੀ ਆਈਟਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਕਪਿਲ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਲਿਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਓਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਤਰ-ਖੇਤਰੀ ਯੁਵਕ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਥੀਏਟਰ ਆਈਟਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਨਾਟਕ ‘ਥੈਂਕ ਯੂ ਮਿਸਟਰ ਗਲਾਡ’, ਸਕਿੱਟ ‘ਡਾਕੀਆ ਡਾਕ ਲਾਇਆ ‘ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਈਮ ਨੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ ਓਥੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਵਾਹ -ਵਾਹ ਖੱਟੀ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਡੀਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਮੋਹਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹੁਣ ਨਵੰਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਖੇਤਰੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣਗੇ।
